Starting today, October 1, the fairytale becomes a reality.
Today, Cinderella will be reading The Princess and the Pizza by Mary Jane and Herm Auch and children will be making their own pizza craft. This program is free with Museum Admission or CML Membership and is recommended for all ages.
Kerry Schrauth, owner of Princess of Tides Boutique says, "The Children's Museum of the Lowcountry has always gone the extra mile by offering innovative events, exhibits and activities to their members. By combining our resources for the Story Time with a Real Princess series, we've got an unparalleled combination of princess characters, costumes, crafts, and the perfect environment to elevate a child's passion for reading."
In July, Princess of Tides donated $2,000 worth of brand new Princess, Knight and Dragon costumes, capes and accessories for the Museum’s Medieval Creativity Castle. Princess of Tides Boutique has two locations: one right around the corner from the Museum at 430 King Street, Downtown and the other in Mt. Pleasant at the Belle Hall Shopping Center.
“Princess of Tides has been a wonderful partner to CML and the young children we serve. We are very excited about this new program, its focus on literacy and the arts and the continued support from our local partner,” says CML Executive Director, Denis Chirles.
The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry is a non-profit open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $7 per person and free for children less than 12 months of age.
